Mission Statement
The DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee was formulated to give a voice to the Caribbean population within DC 37.

The Committee's main goal is to increase the knowledge of some, and introduce to others, the rich and diverse culture of the Caribbean Diaspora and to highlight its contribution to the labor movement.

The Committee will promote the diversity in religion, culture, language, food, music and government of the Caribbean Diaspora by sponsoring a variety of events during the year concentrating on different aspects of the diversity.

The Committee will educate the DC 37 membership and the community at large of the disparity of the Caribbean by presenting educational forums exploring the differences and similarities of the member nations.

The Committee will sponsor a variety of social events during the year to highlight and celebrate the diversity within the Diaspora.

The Committee will support member nations by giving a voice to current events that affect the Caribbean Diaspora.

The Committee is open to all DC 37 members who make a commitment to contribute their time and effort to promote the Caribbean in a positive light to the membership and the community at large.
