DC 37 Endorsements for
Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8

Mayor
Michael R. Bloomberg

District Council 37 urges its members and members of their households to vote to re-elect Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Comptroller William Thompson on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 8, so please be sure to vote.

Comptroller
William C. Thompson Jr.

Brooklyn Civil Court Judge
Sylvia Ash

“This election presents an opportunity for us to elect our boss,” said DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts. “Mayor Mike Bloomberg has shown leadership. He’s worked fairly with our union, supported our public hospitals, worked to improve education for our children and grandchildren, and protected our members’ jobs by implementing civilianization and ending wasteful private contracts.” DC 37 also asks members to support Sylvia Ash, a DC 37 supervising attorney, in her borough-wide race for Kings County Civil Court Judge (Brooklyn).

The union is also campaigning to elect five new City Council members — in Manhattan, Rosie Mendez in District 2 and Dan Garodnick in District 4; Jimmy Vacca in Bronx District 13; Darlene Mealy in Brooklyn District 41; and former City Council member Thomas White Jr. in Queens District 28. Garodnick and Vacca face Republican challengers.
