Unionists graduate Cornell program

Proudly holding their Cornell University diplomas in Advanced Labor Union Leadership are Local 2627 Vice President Gary Goff and Local 2054 Vice President Colleen Carew-Rogers.

Local 2627 Vice President Gary Goff and Local 2054 Vice President Colleen Carew-Rogers earned diplomas in the Cornell University Advanced Labor Union Leadership program.

Both graduated with certificates of “achievement and merit” July 14 from the New York State AFL-CIO/Cornell Union Leadership Institute at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.

The course of study was conducted in New York City, Ithaca and other locations statewide.

“It was extremely informative to work with labor folks from other unions and other cities, to learn of their problems and the solutions they worked out,” said Carew-Rogers.

“At Cornell, I got a much better perspective on how to involve my local’s membership in the day-to-day life of the union,” said Goff.
