The Italian Heritage Committee will conclude the union’s celebration of Italian Heritage Month with its annual dinner Nov. 3 at Russo’s on the Bay. For more information, call Committee Chair Michael DeMarco, the president of Local 1455, at 212-815-1023.

The Latino Heritage Committee will celebrate Puerto Rican Heritage Week at union headquarters beginning with an opening ceremony on Monday, Nov. 26, and ending with finale night on Friday, Nov. 30.  For more information, look for flyers in the lobby at union headquarters or call 212-815-1372.

The Jewish Heritage Committee will present DC 37’s Hanukkah celebration Dec. 4 — the first night of the eight-day “Festival of Lights” — at 4 p.m. in the union lobby. Senior Police Chaplain Rabbi Alvin Kass, a member of Local 299, will light the first candle on the menorah.
