Crossing Guards honored
School Crossing Guards from District 3 in Manhattan were acknowledged for their service by City Council member Corey Johnson, who represents the district.
The School Crossing Guards in Local 372 work in the neighborhoods of the West Village, Chelsea and Greenwich Village. The 20 members were presented with certificates of appreciation by Johnson on Nov. 13 at DC 37.
“The children in our district are safer because of our School Crossing Guards,” said Johnson at the ceremony.
