2008 holidays for city workers

Lincoln’s Birthday, Feb. 12, is a floating holiday. To take it on Feb. 12, employees must notify their supervisors in writing; employees must take the “floater” by the end of the calendar year or lose it. Lincoln’s Birthday is not a holiday for those hired after July 1, 2004. This schedule does not apply to prevailing-wage employees.
