FREE help filing taxes

Last year DC 37 helped about 3,000 members get $8.5 million in refunds FREE. If you (and your spouse*) earn less than the income ceilings below, you may qualify for this free tax filing assistance.

When your W-2s arrive in January, find a FREE tax preparation center near your work or home by calling 311 for information in English or Spanish.

Income ceilings: With no children, you (and your spouse*) must earn less than $20,000 total in 2007. With children, you (and your spouse*) must earn less than $40,000 total in 2007.

*Spouse’s income must be included if you are filing jointly.
