Garrido honored by Jewish Labor Committee
DC 37 Executive Director Henry Garrido was honored by the city’s Jewish Labor Committee at the group’s 47th Human Rights Awards Dinner, held in midtown Manhattan on Nov 30.
Gov. Cuomo spoke at the event, which also recognized SEIU President Mary Kay Henry, and Mark Hetfield, President and CEO of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. Among the DC 37 leaders in attendance were DC 37 Treasurer Maf Misbah Uddin, who is also Local 1407 president, Local 1189 President Leonard Davidman, Local 372 President Shaun Francois I, and Retirees President Edward Hysyk. Also attending was AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer Elissa McBride.
