The union needs volunteers to make a difference for Hillary Clinton and union candidates in the New York State presidential primary on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

The state moved its Primary Day to February from June to have a more direct impact on which candidateis chosen to run for president of the United States in the Nov. 4, 2008, general elections.

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, DC 37’s parent union, and District Council 37 have endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2008, and five DC 37 leaders are running for election as delegates and an alternate to the Democratic National Convention. The union urges registered New York Democrats to support Hillary Clinton and the candidates listed below at the polls on Feb. 5.

To get out the vote on “Super Tuesday,”DC 37 wants volunteers to get active with the union’s political Green Machine. If you want to make a difference, call the DC 37 Political Action Dept. at 212-815-1550 to volunteer on Feb. 5 by reporting to one of the sites listed below between 6 and 10 a.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m.

Paid for by AFSCME PEOPLE (1625 L St, NW, Washington, DC 20036; 202-429-1021)
