Coming events at DC 37

On Friday, April 27, the DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee will hold its 3rd Annual Ecumenical Service at 6 p.m. in Room 1 at 125 Barclay St. All are welcome. For more information call 212-815-1420.

On Saturday, April 28, the DC 37 Women’s Committee will hold its first all-day conference from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Workshops will addressissues such as budgeting, entrepreneurial opportunities, housing and helpful resources for care-giving, grandparenting and dealing with a negative school system. To celebrate Earth Day, the union will show “An Inconvenient Truth,” Al Gore’s film about global warming, on Monday, April 30, at 6 p.m. in Room 1. Presentations by environmental specialists and the CBTU CARAT (Community Action and Response Against Toxics) team will follow the film.
