Helping job seekers

100 Year Association award-winner Sarah Ng was recognized for the compassion she brings to her job of helping people move from public assistance into the world of work.

An Associate Job Opportunity Specialist in the Human Resources Administration, Ng works with Bronx job centers, coordinating job fairs and monitoring job initiatives.

She goes beyond her official duties to help. Once Ng helped prevent a client’s eviction from a domestic violence victims shelter and helped her find a job. She patiently worked with another frustrated client, making numerous calls to encourage her to get a job.

The SSEU Local 371 member also volunteers at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
