Kevin Smith heads Black History Committee

Local 1655 President Kevin D. Smith led his first meeting April 28 as the new chair of District Council 37’s Black History Committee. Smith (standing, fifth from left) said he planned to start work immediately on plans for the union’s celebration of Black History Month 2007 in February. He said he was honored to have DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts and Associate Director Oliver Gray (seated) at the meeting, along with Committee Co-chair Cynthia Chin-Marshall (standing, third from left).
