Building Political Power

From the streets of the Bronx to the halls of Congress, DC 37 is working to bolster the political power of its members.

Volunteers work at a voter registration table in front of the Queens Borough Public Library branch in Flushing.
Locally, the union is in the midst of a citywide voter registration drive to encourage union members and community residents to get involved in the political process.

Nationally, DC 37 members are ensuring that their voices will be heard in Washington, D.C. by contributing to PEOPLE, the political action fund of DC 37’s parent union, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
