Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality is the voluntary political action fund of DC 37’s parent union, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees
PEOPLE dollars back candidates who understand the needs of working families. PEOPLE funds also support AFSCME’s lobbying efforts on issues such as saving Social Security, a Medicare prescription drug benefit and the fight against privatization.
By joining PEOPLE, you agree to have a contribution subtracted from your paycheck. By contributing $2 or more per pay period, you automatically become a member of the VIP Club. VIP gifts include a jacket and pin (1st year), pen and pencil set (2nd year), sweatshirt (3rd year), a fifth-year jacket, a tenth-year polo shirt and a 15th-year jacket.
