Hundreds of HRA employees explore educational possibilities at a fair.
|
The QWL Committee at the Human Resources Administration organized two successful Education Fairs on April 15 and 29. Students flocked to the fairs to gather information on educational opportunities from high school equivalency degrees to post-graduate study. Information on union and city benefits was included in the offerings. Over a dozen schools participated. This was the 12th year that educational fairs were sponsored by HRAs Quality of Work Life Committee. Felicia Wallace-Hammond, a member of Clerical-Administrative Employees Local 1549, expressed her appreciation for the information she was able to obtain: The fair gave HRA employees information on opportunities that will allow them to excel.
