65th Anniversary celebration

Saturday, Aug. 8, is DC 37 Family and Friends Day at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey — part of the series of events celebrating DC 37’s 65th anniversary. For information on your last opportunities to buy discounted tickets and the special ticket pickup and “Meet the Characters Day” on Saturday, July 18, see page 20 of this issue of PEP.

The anniversary commemoration will include a gallery exhibit entitled “A Pictorial Journey through DC 37 History: The Workforce That Shaped New York City” at the union throughout October. Locals are encouraged to contribute to this exhibit by donating photos or videos of union strikes, demonstrations, events; members and leaders; old pins and buttons, uniforms, contracts or dues books; tools or machines used on union jobs. Contact your local about participating.
