Blood Emergency - You can help

Give blood, the gift of life.

Healthy people in the New York Metropolitan region are not contributing enough blood to meet the needs of ill and injured patients.

YOU can help by donating blood during Union Blood Drive Week, Oct. 7-11. The drive is sponsored by the New York City Central Labor Council.

Representatives of the New York Blood center will be at DC 37, 125 Barclay St, Manhattan, from 2-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, in rooms 2,3 and 4.

To give blood, you must be at least 17, in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and have a photo ID and Social Security number.
