Social Security warning

Word in Washington is that President Bush’s Social Security privatization plan has met with such strong opposition from the American people that the Republicans in Congress will introduce a “new” Social Security bill in September.

But their bill (H.R. 3304) still creates risky private accounts, cuts guaranteed benefits and increases the national debt. And it does nothing to stop the government “raids” on Social Security funds or provide money to keep the program solvent.

We need to strengthen Social Security, not privatize it!

The Bush administration and its allies in Congress are trying to give privatization a new coat of paint, but it’s still the same old clunker.

Call your Representative now at 1-888-355-3588 and send a loud and clear message: No Social Security privatization, no way.
