National Action Network honors Lillian Roberts

The Men’s Auxiliary of the National Action Network named DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts its “Woman of the Year” June 20 at its annual dinner.

The group honored Roberts “for her outstanding leadership, commitment and vision in fighting for the community throughout the years,” said Committee Chair William N. Griffin.

“Throughout Lillian Roberts’s exemplary career she has displayed a passion for defending the people. This makes her such a capable leader of DC 37.

I commend her for the great work she is doing on behalf of the union and the city of New York,” said the Rev. Al Sharpton, president of NAN.
