Send
a message to New York State officials TODAY!

- The NYS Legislature and governor must ACT NOW to
change the OTB revenue distribution formula, save jobs and protect the future
of the racing industry in NYS.
- Otherwise,
NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg has threatened to close all NYC OTB parlors in June
2008.
- At stake are the jobs of 1,508 NYC
OTB workers, mostly members of DC 37 Local 2021; health care benefits for OTB
retirees; and the jobs of 40,000 OTB workers statewide.
- These
layoffs would have a devastating effect on the state's economy, since about 40%
of wagering in NYS is done at NYC OTB parlors.
