Stop NYS Budget Cuts to Public Services

NYS Governor David Paterson has proposed more than $1.7 billion in budget cuts that would devastate public services and the communities that we serve in NYC. New York City could lose $300 million in state Medicaid dollars, $770 million in state aid to public schools and $656 million in direct aid to the city. The Governor is also proposing a new Tier 5 pension for new public employees that would eliminate pension improvements we have achieved. These cuts must be stopped!
