Local 1549 President Eddie Rodriguez and Local 2054 President Joan Reed installed as AFSCME International Vice Presidents Today, June 25, Eddie Rodriguez, President of Local 1549, NYC Clerical-Administrative Employees, District Council 37, and Joan Reed, President of Local 2054 NYC College Assistants, District Council 37, were installed as International Vice Presidents (IVPs) to represent DC 37 on the International Executive Board of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), AFL-CIO. AFSCME, the parent union of District Council 37, represents more than1.4 million state, county and municipal workers nationwide. Eddie Rodriguez was elected to his second term as
an IVP from DC 37. Joan Reed was elected to her first term as
an IVP from DC 37. They were elected and installed during the
AFSCME International Convention held June 21-25 in Anaheim, California.
