Statement by District Council 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts on mayor Bloomberg's proposed budget cuts


"District Council 37 has not yet received the proposed cuts from the various agencies.

"The mayor has given city agency heads until December 3 to provide proposals that will be incorporated into the January preliminary budget.

"When we have the details we will evaluate them as to their impact and take the appropriate action."

District Council 37 is New York City's largest public employee union, with 125,000 members and 50,000 retirees.
