Public Employee Press Thirty
members of Health Services Employees Local 768 recently completed an intensive
five-week Shop Steward activist training course, Building Union Power in
the Workplace, that began Nov. 6 at DC 37. Among the many topics included
in the course were Introduction to Grievance Handling, Documenting
a Case, Developing Member Action Teams, and Moving Members
to Action. Other important subjects were effective strategies for handling
grievances, communication among members and a review of union history.
