Gardeners honor exam protesters

“We stepped up to the plate and we won,” said Dept. of Parks Gardeners—Local 1507 President Sirra Crippen, pictured with members. The group participated in a protest review session on the civil service Gardener’s exam. They challenged key answers and won changes that resulted in additional points on the test scores. The members were honored Dec. 5 at the local’s holiday party at London Lennie’s.
