Proof required for college H&S Plan benefits

Parents with children in college must provide proof of schooling to continue their DC 37 Health and Security Plan coverage.

“We want to remind parents to provide documentation of schooling to make sure they avoid a gap in the benefit coverage of their children,” said Cynthia Chin-Marshall, administrator of the DC 37 Health and Security Plan.

To ensure a continuation of coverage, parents need to obtain a letter from the college registrar’s office that documents the full-time day-student status of their children.

Before forwarding the letter to the DC 37 Health and Security Plan, union members should write their Social Security number or H&S personal ID number on it. Send the letter to DC 37 Health and Security Plan, Enrollment Eligibility Unit, 125 Barclay St., New York, NY 10007.
