February is Black History Month, and the DC 37 Black History Committee will conclude the month-long celebration with a grand finale on Friday, Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m. Click here for the full calendar of events at DC 37. The DC 37 Women’s Committee will celebrate Women’s History Month in the lobby of union headquarters on Monday, March 2, at 5:30 p.m. On Thursday, March 19, at 6 p.m., they will hold an “Honoring Ourselves” celebration. For more information call Committee Chair Walthene Primus at 212-815-1989 or look for flyers in the lobby.

On Friday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m., the Irish Heritage Committee will host its annual celebration at union headquarters.  Tickets cost $40 each. For more information, call 212-815-1741. On Friday, March 13, at noon, the committee will be selling Irish soda bread and decorative glasses at union headquarters.  And on Tuesday, March 17, join the committee as they march in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. The DC 37 Health and Nutrition Committee will hold a seminar titled “Organ Donation — The Gift That Keeps on Giving” on Monday, March 23, at 6 p.m. where participants can discuss myths, fears and confusion about organ donation.
