Favors big business over working people

Clinton and Obama want to get union members’ votes by lamenting about the stagnating wages and growing sense that too many middle-class families are just a pink slip away from financial devastation and attacking the tax cuts that offered the rich tax relief, which are 160 times greater than that received by middle class Americans.

The union members should not be fooled by the rhetoric emanating from Clinton and Obama. When they talk about raising taxes on the rich, what they’re really saying is that they will lower the wages and living standards of the middle class through reduced capital formation.

Thomas Boyle
Supervisor, Parks Dept, Bronx

Editor’s note: So are you really against pay increases and in favor of “financial devastation” for working people and an unfair tax system? Most union members would disagree strongly with this position.
