Local 1113 offers scholarships

The New York City Finance Administrative Employees and City Investigators Local 1113 is offering its “Help Our Families” college scholarship for members and their children for the 2008-09 school year.

This year the local will award by lottery four scholarships up to a maximum of $1,000 each. The deadline to file is Aug. 15; no extensions will be granted.

To apply, please submit a completed application, an official copy of SAT or ACT scores, an official transcript and a photograph. Current college students only need to submit grade transcripts and a photograph.

Winners will be notified by mail by Aug. 29 and will participate in theDC 37 annual Scholarship Awards Banquet in September.
