Dear DC 37 Sisters and Brothers,
The next meeting of the DC37 Climate Justice Committee will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 6:00 PM via ZOOM and TELEPHONE.
We will be discussing:
1) The NYC Labor Day Parade – Saturday, September 9th. Wear your DC 37 Green!
2) The Climate March in NYC on Sunday, September 17th, gathering at 12 noon on the NE corner of 53rd Street and Broadway. This March has been endorsed by DC 37, the UFT, the PSC and others. Wear your DC 37 Green and bring water!
We also need volunteers who will help hand out the Climate March flyer at the Labor Day Parade, especially to DC 37 members gathering on 44th Street. Please email me if you can help pass out the flyers.
3) Reaching out nationally to other AFSCME members to help highlight the need for green jobs and the growing climate crisis
4) Creating an outdoor event for all Committee and DC37 members – possibly a tour of the new East Side Coastal Resiliency project on Manhattan’s east side
