Statement by DC 37 Executive Director Henry Garrido on the election of Rafael Salamanca Jr. to the City Council

“We congratulate Rafael Salamanca Jr. on his victory in the special City Council election last night. The voters of the 17th District in the Bronx clearly agreed with DC 37 that Mr. Salamanca Jr. was the most qualified candidate. Our DC 37 activists were out in force in support of his candidacy yesterday helping to ensure his victory.
