Climate Justice Panel at Union HQ

The DC 37 Climate Justice Committee hosted a hybrid discussion, Climate is a Workplace Issue, on Dec. 9 at 125 Barclay. Happy Graduation, Gardeners!

City Park Workers from Local 1505 in the first cohort of the NYC Parks Gardeners Training Program graduated on Dec. 5. The trainees participated in the 12-month program to expand their skills and knowledge of horticulture, botany, and gardening in anticipation of advancing their careers within the Parks department. DC 37 Shows Solidarity with LACMA United



Workers at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) held a union election on Dec. 15. To show support for the workers of LACMA United, DC 37 members in the Culturals Sector sent messages of solidarity to their union siblings ahead of the election. Pictured are members of Local 1559 American Museum of Natural History, gardeners from Brooklyn Botanic Garden Local 374 Quasi Public Employees, and DC 37 Local 1501 Wildlife Conservation Society attendants and security guards at the New York Aquarium. LACMA workers voted 96% in favor of unionizing with AFSCME District Council 36 in California.
