DC 37 Education Fund Classes
EKG & Phlebotomy
This 3-4 month program will train members to learn skills and techniques for venipuncture, skin puncture, body fluid collection, specimen processing, laboratory testing, collection of vital signs, performance of EKGs, and stress tests. Classes will meet in Lower Manhattan on weekday evenings.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant to attend the course at Hostos. No CNA certification is required to take the course at Consortium for Worker Education (CWE).
The Allied Health programs below are open to all eligible DC 37 members who meet the following criteria: you are part of local 420, 436, 768, 2507, 3621 OR you work for Department of Health, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, or Health and Hospitals Corporation.
