Union salutes war veterans
More than 150 New York City municipal employees gathered to salute America’s war veterans at union headquarters on Nov. 9, and to recognize the sacrifice made by the men and women who serve in the U.S. military. The Quality of Work Life (QWL) event honored a dozen DC 37 members in SSEU Local 371, and in Locals 1180, 1549, and 2627. The midday celebration featured the youth string trio Talent Unlimited, while volunteers provided information on veterans’ support groups.
