Law Day at union headquarters
The union’s Municipal Employees Legal Services (MELS) and the DC 37 General Counsel held its annual Law Day event at union headquarters. DC 37 Executive Director Henry Garrido and SSEU Local 371 President Anthony Wells, spoke at the May 6 event. The featured keynote was Judge Edwina Richardson Mendelson, an Administrative Judge at New York City’s Family Court, and an acting Supreme Court judge in New York County, Criminal since 2015, who gave extensive remarks about her experiences as a judge in the court system.
