Local 372 offers training session
The New York City Dept. of Education held the first of its professional development workshops for employees in the Neighborhood Workers and Community title series, who are members of Local 372.
The Sept. 14 workshop at DC 37 focused on providing new information and strategies for union members who work exclusively with students who live in temporary housing. Many of these members work in the Prevention Assistance and Temporary Housing program.
The workshop was attended by 125 Local 372 members. The Dept. of Education will hold its next professional development workshop in May.
