Labor Press recognizes Garrido
DC 37 Executive Director Henry Garrido was among four honored at the 10th annual Heroes of Labor Awards, sponsored by LaborPress.org and EmblemHealth at a ceremony in downtown Manhattan. The Nov. 1 event recognized Garrido, who also serves as Co-Chair of the Municipal Labor Council (MLC). Also recognized with Garrido were Teamsters Local 831 and MLC Chair President Harry Nespoli, Transit Workers Union Local 100 President Tony Utano, and Working Theater’s Artistic Director Laura Carbonell Monarque.
