Job Fair a success
Job seekers attended a job fair for entry- and mid-level positions in health care and human services at the DC 37 Non-Profit Division on West 45th Street in Manhattan. The Feb. 20 event gave potential future DC 37 members the opportunity to get information on careers in the health care field. There were recruiters from the 13 employer agencies in the DC 37 Non-Profit and Private Sector Division, such as child care, social services, special needs, and home care. More than three-quarters of the candidates will be employed. This only goes to prove that unions are more than protectors of our rights, community activists, nurturers, and advocates; we are also here to enhance the lives of many.
