Union fights for Green New Deal
A coalition of environmental and community groups, including key unions and elected city leaders, were at the steps of City Hall to urge Mayor de Blasio to implement and fully fund the Green New Deal passed by the City Council last year. At the Jan. 23 rally, the union’s Associate Director Oliver Gray addressed the crowd, as did NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer and various City Council members.
