Cultural institute Health & security plan trust

This is a summary of the annual report of the District Council 37 Cultural Institute Health & Security Plan Trust (Employer Identification Number 13-3075750, Plan Number 501) for the plan year 07/01/2019 through 06/30/2020. According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13) (PRA), no persons are required to respond to a collection of information unless such collection displays a valid Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number. New York Public Library Health & Security Plan Trust

This is a summary of the annual report of the District Council 37-New York Public Library Health & Security Plan Trust, EIN 13-3378857, Plan No. 501, health plan, for period July 01, 2019, through June 30, 2020. The annual report has been filed with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, as required under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Board of Trustees District Council 37 New York Public Library Health & Security Plan Trust has committed itself to pay certain claims incurred under the terms of the plan.

Basic Financial Statement
The value of plan assets, after subtracting liabilities of the plan, was $12,059,406 as of June 30, 2020, compared to $10,384,344 as of July 01, 2019. During the plan year, the plan experienced an increase in its net assets of $1,675,062. This increase includes unrealized appreciation and depreciation in the value of plan assets; that is, the difference between the value of the plan’s assets at the end of the year and the value of the assets at the beginning of the year, or the cost of assets acquired during the year. During the plan year, the plan had total income of $5,494,954, including employer contributions of $4,521,283, employee contributions of $4,374, realized gains of $259,753 from the sale of assets, earnings from investments of $676,679, and other income of $32,865.

Plan expenses were $3,819,892. These expenses included $230,991 in administrative expenses, and $3,588,901 in benefits paid to participants and beneficiaries.
