Citywide protests in aftermath of George Floyd murder

The murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis, Minnesota police officer was the breaking point after decades of enduring systematic racism and economic inequalities brought to fore by the COIVD-19 pandemic. Tens of thousands took to the streets nationwide, particularly in New York, in anger, but also to begin to build a new future through revolutionary change.
