Free summer meals for kids
NYC Board of Education Local 372 and DC 37 kicked off the free summer meal program on Friday, July 1 at P.S./I.S. 218 Rafael Hernandez Dual Language Magnet School in the Bronx. Each summer, DC 37’s 30,000 food service workers across the city ensure the youngest New Yorkers do not go hungry by providing more than 8 million free breakfasts and lunches to any child up to 18 years old.
